Fotawildlife.ie has been shortlisted for the best community and charity website at the annual Eircom Golden Spider Awards.The eircom Golden Spider Awards are an annual event honouring Irish individuals and organisations for their outstanding achievements online and celebrating the successes of the Irish internet and digital media.
The awards not only reward Irish businesses and community organisations but also individuals for their creativity and innovation. The eircom Golden Spiders provide an important opportunity to recognise and showcase online excellence and are considered an important benchmark for distinction and merit in web-based business strategies. This year's 20 categories range from "Internet Hero" to the overall "Grand Prix", acknowledging the achievements across a wide range of industries - including Media, Entertainment, Sports & Leisure, Finance, Retail, Professional Services, Travel, Tourism & Hospitality and e-Business.
Although the eircom Golden Spiders have a strong business slant, the awards also recognise the importance of promoting internet usage within the community and award an accolade for "Best Community or Charity Website".
