VOTE FOR US AT THE MATERNITY & INFANT AWARDS

8th October 2010

Following a record-breaking 20,000 votes received from parents and families throughout Ireland, Fota Wildlife Park has been shortlisted under Most Family-Friendly Day Out of the Year category for this year's maternity & infant Awards. The park now automatically goes forward as a finalist to the national event, which will be held on 12th November next, at the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin, where winners will be announced for both our product and people awards.

This year, given the phenomenal growth of the awards and impact to parents and families throughout the country, the awards will be televised on TV3.

TV3's Martin King and Sybil Mulcahy will host the proceedings and there will be lots of entertainment and surprises in store for families attending on the day.

This year, the Benhaffaf family from Cork will be awarded our Special Merit Award for their outstanding courage and bravery shown by the whole family during Angie's pregnancy, birth of conjoined twins Hassan and Hussein and the successful operation to separate the boys.

Fota Wildlife Park are delighted that the Benhaffaf family who are members of the park will receive their award and tell their story of their "Little Fighters" and how well Hassan and Hussein are doing, and what the future holds for the boys.
