Fun for kids at Fota

Thanks so much to all at Fota espicially the team of staff who facilitated the arts and crafts and the puppet shows everyday. The staff were so friendly and enthusiastic and the kids loved it. We returned to Fota many times during the summer, making the most of our membership and the kids were engaged in different fun activities every time.
Loving the recent changes and innovation that are so obvious in Fota.

we recently had eilish birthday party at fota.....had a brillant day kids had loads of fun thanks to sarah and olive the 2 girls made it really enjoyable...so a big thank you to them...i would strongly recommend birthday party at fota as it relly fun for everyone....

The Best Animal Park in Ireland

We visited the wildlife park for the first time and we think it's amazing! It is the only park like it in Ireland and everyone who visits Cork or neighbouring counties MUST GO to Fota Wildlife Park.

We loved the giraffes, monkeys and the birds. We stayed in Cork with http://www.irelandselfcateringholiday.com

Fota is my favourite place in the world, and I go whenever I can (travelling from Wicklow!) Last weekend, surrounded by ring-tailed lemurs, my boyfriend proposed to me! A perfect moment - thanks Fota!

My husband and myself are regular visitors to the park, but we brought our little 2yr old grandaughter today and enjoyed it so much through her eyes. The reaction from children is just amazing. Will be visiting more often now as we are both retired and cant think of any where better to spend our time and be home in 30 mins. The park is a credit to all the staff.

Went to fota a few times last week march 29th to april 5th to see tim white in the red fm wildlife comp [tim won it], however we spent most of our time at the oasis cafe,so we went back again today sun 11th april for a nice long stroll around, the weather was fab, beautifull place. will be returning soon, kids love it.

We are an Afterschool group and we love the Wedsite - lovely pictures, kids corner and fun facts. We looked at site to see new baby Zebra ....so cute.

i was today in the park, im an animal lover, in my point of view, the park needs more maintenance, specially the area where de kangaroos are, i was shock when i see the little space where they are, also the eagle cage, prefer not to have any kind of this birds in the park and some parts in the artificial lake so dirty, many plastic bottles inside the flamingos cage hope someone can do something about all of this. thank you

Fota Wildlife Park Reply: The water in the park is all natural from the Cork Harbour, the kangaroos are free roaming and we are building a new eagle area soon.

I was very dissappointed with my visit to the park. I thought that the entry fee was way too steep for the recessional times we are in. Also the fact that I had to pay an extra �?�3 to exit from the car park did not add to my satisfaction. Futhermore I was unhappy to wait 15mins to find a seat to eat in your cafe in the park. In my opinion people would appreciate a larger seating area as I clearly wasn't the only one unhappy. Finally I was hugely dissappointed about the selection of animals I saw. It clearly was not worth the money or the time and regretfully I will not be returning.

Once again a visit to Fota proved to be the perfect day out. It just gets better and better. Well worth every minute waiting and cent spent to see happy, content animals and wardens who obviously love their jobs. (yes I'm jealous!!) keep up the good work!

Was in Fota today, our 4th time this year, and as always it was great, the new entrance, shop and cafe are great, my daughters loved the little play area, espeically the sand. Absolutely love the way the lemur's just run past you, my daughers were so excited, they were a bit disappointed the baby red panda was asleep though, i did try to explain that it is a baby, but they didn't totally understand it all as a bit young. can't wait for the next outing to Fota

Thanks to all the staff in Fota Wildlife Park. The talks were brill we were not going to go cause it was raining by it dryed up then so we had a brill day we carried our picnic with us. This was before it was done up but it was still brill... We live down the very south of Kerry so it was a great weekend with family but with ye it was extra great weekend. Prices are suitable...

We came to Ireland for the first time in May 2011 and stayed a week. We visited Fóta on the second day and loved it so much we went back for another full day later in the week. I love the freedom that the animals have. It's amazing to be able to walk among these gorgeous creatures. I fell in love with the lemurs and the meerkats!

White Tailed Sea Eagle

I LOVED fota especially the white tailed sea eagle. Hope the chick gets released to the wild it woud be a real shame if she had to live out her adult life in captivity.

I loved Fota it was the highlight of my holiday in Cork. We begged and begged to come back and we did the following week! :D

Fota's great becaue it provides a protected habitat for species that are not in captivity too. I saw a giant (wood wasp really cool!!!) and an opportunistic heron feeding on the lake.

Any update on the White Tailed Sea Eagle chick it would be a real shame if she had to live out her adult in captivity :-(

was a bril day out though i couldnt see the wallabe and the prarie dogs ! other than that waas great !!! I ESPICALLLY LIKED THE HARBOUR SEAL ! and the Bisson were amazing!! hope the park has loads of new arrivals best wishhes in the next couple of years will visit again!

My daughter and i went there on wed last as a treat for m birthday . im a lady so age don't matter lol. we had one of the best days ever . we were disappointed the naughty Cheetas broke the feeding wire but it was wonderful anyway, we had a yummy meal there and when we were leaving say some beauties it was so quiet then, no one around . i cannot wait to go back , thanks to the lovely limerick girl for returning my brolly . thank you for a wonderful time xxM

1st Birthday Day Out!

We took our son, Ryan to Fota on his first birthday. We wanted to do something special to mark the day. And what a special day it was! We all had so much fun and Ryan was just delighted with all the animals! He really loved all the ducks! We were amazed with how active all the animals were, the monkeys were so funny! We had such a fun, relaxing day and it is one we will never forget! We will be back for his 2nd birthday if not before hand!
