Cheetah Run 4 Mile Road Race - Results

The Cheetah Run took place on the 21st of May 2009 and had a huge entry of nearly 700 runners, the highest evening race entry in Cork for at least 25 years. The new baby Siamang Gibbon was born at the beginning of August to proud mother Kaya and father Clyde. They now make up a family of 6 Siamang Gibbons in the parkwhich also includes Rocky who was born in 2005, Lisa who was born in 2003 and bart who was born in 2007. Birds of Prey Experience on Sunday 16th has been cancelled

Birds of Prey Experience will only take place on Saturday this weekend at 1 and 3pm. Unfortunately Sunday's flying demonstrations have to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Come face to face with hawks, owls, falcons and other raptors at Fota Wildlife Park witness dramatic "free flight" shows at 1pm and 3pm on Saturday afternoon. New Talks

New Wildlife Talks Back in the chilly days of March the first of the seasonal wildlife talks began. Initially 12 talks took place around the park each day, including talks on the bison, giraffe, cheetah, seal, eagle and penguin, at the relevant enclosures. Sun comes out at the end of a great members party

The sun came out at the end of the members party making it a great night for the members. In what was one of the wettest days of the summer, over a 100 members turned up for what they described as a "great night".
