“Fota Wildlife Park has been a huge contributor to the socioeconomic vitality of Cork as a destination for the past 39 years. As one of Ireland’s most popular visitor attractions set in Cork Harbour it wonderfully complements Cork’s leisure tourism and coastal and maritime assets.

The large visitor numbers it attracts has a knock-on effect to the entire Cork region. Fota visitors greatly help fill our Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, Cafes etc. They support visitor numbers to other attractions as research has shown, people come for Fota and visit other attractions while in Cork. This business, which cannot be underestimated is responsible for driving millions of euro in to our regional annually.”
