Pass GO, Collect 200 chimes of The Shandon Bells – and buy your favourite Cork landmark (for just paper money).
The new official MONOPOLY board for Cork has just been launched in “spectacular style” and is now on shop shelves – virtual and actual.
There are very many Cork twists and turns on the customised board with loved landmarks like Fota Wildlife Park, Blarney Castle and The Shandon Bells replacing the celebrated London streets.
Speaking about the launch of game Stephen Ryan from Fota Wildlife Park said, “As Cork’s most visited attraction we are delighted to be included on the very first monopoly board for Cork”
In all, 22 Cork property landmarks – county and city – have Passed GO to make into onto the board – and WE have too ! As you can see here.
It follows the Cork public being invited to vote for the landmarks earlier in the year.
The new MONOPOLY: Cork Edition is now available at all good toy and book stores, as well as extensively online. Stores stocking it include: Easons, Smyths and Waterstones.
