Fota Wildlife Park was closed for almost 10 weeks following an outbreak of H5N1 avian influenza, which originated from wild bird populations in the Cork Harbour area. During that time, our expert animal care team continued to provide the highest standards of welfare for all species in our care and remained committed to the conservation breeding programmes for rare and endangered species, with animal care continuing diligently behind closed doors.

It costs approximately €120,000 per week to run Fota Wildlife Park, a conservation charity, and your donation makes a real difference.
