Indian peafowl

The Indian peafowl is an iconic species known for its striking appearance and behaviours. Males, or peacocks, are adorned in vibrant shades of electric blue and green, growing up to 115 cm from bill to tail. Their most famous feature is their extravagant tail, or "train," which can reach up to five metres in length when fully extended. In contrast, females, or peahens, are a more subdued mottled brown, which aids in camouflage.
