Fota Wildlife Park Photography Competition now open for entry!

Be in with a chance to feature in the 2023 pictorial calendar, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Fota Wildlife Park.

Closing Date: 31st August 2022

Open to all, to enter fill in the form below and state your name/address/phone number and category – and if under 16 please state your date of birth.

Categories:
  • Best picture by club photographer. Winning prize is €300 and a conservation annual pass. (Proof of current club membership required).
  • Best picture by professional photographer. Winning prize is €300 and a conservation annual pass.
  • **New category ‘40 Years of Fota’**. Have you any historical photographs from the 80’s, 90’s or 00’s or any recent decade of your visit to Fota? If so, we’d love to see it and if you could tell us more about the image, please fill out the text box in the form. Winning prize is €300 and a Private Wild Experiences VIP Family Tour.
  • Best picture by non-club/non-professional photographer. Winning prize is €300 and a conservation annual pass.
  • Best photographer using a smart phone /tablet. Winning prize is a Conservation annual pass
  • Best picture by Under 16. Winning prize is Conservation annual pass for their family (please provide proof of age).

 

Some T&C’s:

Photographs must have been taken in Fota Wildlife Park between the dates of 1/1/22 and 31/8/22 and can feature general views, plants, animals, birds, or any inhabitant of the Wildlife Park. (Date range not applicable to images submitted in the ’40 Years of Fota’ category).

You must be the sole author and owner of any photos entered.

Please respect the privacy of others when taking any photographs.

Drone usage is strictly NOT permitted.

By entering you are granting permission for Fota Wildlife Park to publish your images at any time in the future on any platform or publication (digital, print etc).

Fota Wildlife Park retains the right to free reproduction of any images submitted at any date.

Max entries are 5 photographs per entrant, entrants may only enter one category.

Camera club photographers are entitled to admission for €10 per head on display of a club membership card or proof of membership – until the 31st August 2022. Membership must be current during the dates of the competition. No booking necessary, this can be done on walk-up.
